Kansas edges Indiana 75-71 in Big 12-Big Ten matchup

BLOOMINGTON, IN – In a Big 12-Big Ten showdown, the Kansas Jayhawks secured a hard-fought victory against the Indiana Hoosiers with a final score of 75-71 at the Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Saturday.

The game showcased intense back-and-forth action as both teams fought for dominance. Kansas, boasting a 10-1 record coming into the game, faced off against Indiana, who held a 7-3 record in the Big Ten, setting the stage for an exciting clash.

The Jayhawks initially faced a halftime deficit, trailing 40-32 against a spirited Indiana performance. However, a second-half effort turned the game in favor of Kansas. They outscored Indiana 43-31 in the latter period, ultimately securing the win.

Kevin McCullar Jr. led the charge for Kansas contributing 21 points. Hunter Dickinson and KJ Adams Jr. also made contributions of 17 and 14 points, respectively, for the Jayhawks.

Despite a valiant effort by Indiana, led by Trey Galloway’s 28 points, Mackenzie Mgbako’s 14 points, and Malik Reneau’s 13 points, the Hoosiers fell just short in their bid to upset the visiting Jayhawks.

Kansas shot 42.6% from the field and made crucial plays in the second half, sealing their victory over the Indiana squad.

The win improved Kansas’ overall record to 11-1 while Indiana’s record adjusted to 7-4 for the season.
