South Wrestlers Claim Victories Across Weight Classes, Secure 2nd Place in Boys Jeff Classic

The Bloomington High School South wrestling team showcased their prowess over the weekend at the Boys Jeff Classic tournament, earning a second-place finish in a tightly contested event.

The team’s performance was highlighted by victories in multiple weight classes. Jaxsen Jean emerged victorious in the 106-pound category with a 14-second pin. Joining the triumph was Amrin Pratt, claiming the championship in the 132-pound class.

Additionally, Wyatt Cooksey’s outstanding performance saw him emerge triumphant in the 144-pound class. Roudebush rounded off the team’s showing by capturing victory 165-pound category.

South had a total of 236.5 points while the winning team, Oldham County, won by only half a point with 237.
