Indiana Conservation Officers Recover Vehicle from Greene-Sullivan State Forest Lake

Indiana Conservation Officers (ICOs) in district five recovered a vehicle from a lake within the Greene-Sullivan State Forest on Saturday. The incident was the result of an accident, and resulted in no injuries to the driver.

Utilizing advanced sonar equipment, ICOs swiftly located and marked the submerged vehicle within the lake. ICO SCUBA divers, Max Winchell and Luke Tincher managed to hook the vehicle to a tow truck mere minutes after diving underwater.

The efforts of various agencies contributed to the retrieval. The IDNR Division of Forestry, Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, and Recovery Plus Towing played roles in the coordinated operation, ensuring a seamless and rapid resolution to the incident.
