Staff report

Bloomington, Indiana – January 17, 2024

Robert “Bob” Boro, the 44-year-old man who went missing after last being seen on New Year’s Eve, is still missing as of Tuesday, January 17, 2024, according to Bloomington Police Department Captain Ryan Pedigo.

Pedigo said the missing person case is still active.

The Bloomingtonian inquired in person about Boro last Monday during the daily police briefing for members of the media and was told the following:

Boro’s truck was found by a family returning home in the early hours of New Year’s Day, around 1:22 a.m., after it had crashed into the front porch and garage of a residence on the 1800 block of South Curry Pike. A phone was left behind, but Boro didn’t return to his residence at a nearby trailer park in the 4100 block of West Vernal Pike.

Boro was driving a 2010 grey Ford F-150 truck.

The lights at Boro’s residence were on, and his dog was inside his trailer home, but he wasn’t there when investigators tried to find him.

He was later reported missing around 9 p.m. on January 2nd.
