WonderLab and Morgenstern’s Books Collaborate for a Literary Extravaganza: Boozy Book Fair

BLOOMINGTON, IN – Book enthusiasts in the WonderLab community in partnership with Morgenstern’s Books, presents the Boozy Book Fair on Saturday, March 23rd, from 6 to 9 p.m.

This literary event offers a delightful combination of adult beverages, specially curated books for the WonderLab community, and engaging activities, promising an evening of literary exploration and camaraderie.

Attendees can peruse a carefully selected array of titles geared towards adults, all while sipping on adult beverages from Upland Brewing Company and enjoying light snacks. The ambiance will be further elevated with the opportunity to meet local author Mary Murphy, who will discuss and conduct a live reading of her latest work, “Cultures of Growth: How the New Science of Mindset Can Transform Individuals, Teams, and Organizations.”

For those with a penchant for the historical aspects of bookmaking, activities include learning about Medieval Times ink production and trying one’s hand at calligraphy with artist and scientist Elizabeth Hebbard. Local artist and paper-making expert Mary Uthuppuru will guide participants through the art and science of paper making.

The event will feature three local speakers, along with various activities inspired by the Boozy Book Fair. Attendees can explore the museum, delve into saddle stitch bookbinding to create a personalized zine, craft bookmarks from recycled plastic grocery bags, make paper from recycled materials, and engage in a community poetry writing circle.
