Slash Announces S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Blues Festival Featuring All-Star Lineup on July 21, 2024 in Terre Haute, Indiana

Slash, the iconic guitarist known for his work with Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver, has announced the inaugural S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Blues Festival, set to tour North America this summer. The tour will be in Terre Haute, Indiana on July 21, 2024.

The festival, named as an acronym for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance, aims to celebrate the spirit of the blues genre while supporting various charitable causes. Slash will kick off the festival on July 5 in Bonner, Montana, and will travel to several cities including Los Angeles, Denver, Cincinnati, Toronto, New York City, Boston, and Atlanta.

Joining Slash on the tour are renowned artists such as Warren Haynes Band, Keb’ ‘Mo, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Robert Randolph, Samantha Fish, Eric Gales, ZZ Ward, Jackie Venson, and Larkin Poe. Each show will feature performances by Slash and his blues band alongside these esteemed musicians.

The festival is not only about music but also about giving back to communities. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold will be donated to charities including The Equal Justice Initiative, Know Your Rights Camp, The Greenlining Institute, and War Child Charities.

Slash expressed his excitement about the tour, stating, “The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour is a celebration of blues and rock ‘n’ roll music, and a celebration of unity and togetherness in these uncertain and divisive times.”

General ticket sales for the festival begin Friday, March 15 at 10 a.m. local time, with pre-sales available on the festival’s website. Additionally, limited VIP packages are currently on sale, offering exclusive perks such as access to Slash’s soundcheck before the show and hand-signed vinyl of his upcoming album, “Orgy of the Damned.”

Slash’s new album, “Orgy of the Damned,” is set for release on May 17 via Gibson Records. The album features collaborations with a diverse range of vocalists including Gary Clark Jr, Billy F. Gibbons, Chris Stapleton, Iggy Pop, and Demi Lovato.

Slash’s career has been marked by his contributions to rock music, both as a solo artist and with bands such as Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver. He has sold over 100 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Guns N’ Roses in 2012.
