BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — March 19, 2024

Lightning Heart Productions, helmed by Spence Taylor of Bloomington, IN, and Kati Taylor, a creative consultant and independent local music promoter from Indianapolis, announced the launch of Shine On Music Fest following the cancellation of ShadowFest.

The inaugural Shine On Music Fest aims to provide a platform for artists impacted by the cancellation of ShadowFest, which was scheduled to coincide with the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse weekend.

“Shine On Music Fest means so much to all of us after ShadowFest was canceled,” said Spence Taylor. “We were directly impacted by the cancellation, along with all the artists and production crew who had been preparing for one of our biggest shows of the year.”

In an effort to salvage the opportunity for artists and crew, Spence Taylor and Kati Taylor quickly mobilized to organize Shine On Music Fest within a tight timeframe of six weeks. The event is scheduled to take place April 6-8, 2024, at Stable Studios in Spencer, IN, conveniently situated in the path of totality for the solar eclipse.

Attendees can expect a weekend filled with live music on the Pavilion Stage, RV and tent camping options, free parking, food vendors, community activities, and more. Additionally, Shine On Music Fest will offer solar eclipse viewing glasses to all attendees and will project NASA’s live broadcast of the eclipse under the pavilion for everyone to enjoy.

Applications for food and creative vendors are still being accepted, although booth spaces are filling up rapidly. The festival has received support from sponsors such as Gold sponsor Branson Gilliland Excavating and Silver Sponsor Blake Champlin.

“It’s important to note that Shine On Music Fest is not associated with ShadowFest or Pam Weaver in any way,” clarified Spence Taylor.
