Milltown Man Arrested for Murder and Child Molesting

Crawford County, Ind. — March 30, 2024

Indiana State Police, working with local law enforcement agencies, arrested a Milltown man in connection with a murder and child molesting case.

Authorities responded to reports of a possible murder in the Milltown area on Saturday afternoon, March 30th. Upon arrival, officers discovered the deceased body of Nancy Herman. The Indiana State Police was immediately contacted to aid in the investigation.

The suspect, identified as Clinton Herman, 44, of Milltown, Ind., was identified and a probable cause affidavit was prepared by the Indiana State Police. Subsequently, a warrant was issued for Herman’s arrest by the Crawford County authorities. Following an extensive search, Herman was apprehended without resistance at a residence in Harrison County.

Nancy Herman’s family has been notified, and arrangements are being made for an autopsy. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death is ongoing.

Arrested and facing charges is Clinton J. Herman, 44, of Milltown, Ind. He has been charged with Murder, a felony, and Child Molesting, categorized as a Level 3 Felony.

The Indiana State Police led the investigation, with support from various law enforcement agencies including the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, Milltown Police Department, Crawford County EMS, and the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office.

It is essential to note that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
