Update: Greene County Sheriff’s Office Catches Escaped Prisoner

BLOOMFIELD, Ind. — April 5, 2024

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation into the escape of Charles Michael Orr III from the Greene County Community Corrections facility, officials said Friday.

Orr, 29, reportedly removed his ankle bracelet, prompting authorities to seek assistance from the public in locating him. The escape occurred in Bloomfield on April 5, 2024.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Orr is described as approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing around 180 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes. He is adorned with several distinctive tattoos, including skulls on both legs, skulls and flames on both arms, and two lightning bolts on his neck.

Deputy Michael Stanley is leading the investigation into Orr’s escape. The Sheriff’s Office has issued a warning that Orr is considered to be armed and dangerous. They urge anyone who spots Orr not to approach him but to contact the Greene County Sheriff’s Department immediately or call 911.

No further details regarding the circumstances of Orr’s escape or any potential accomplices were immediately available.
