Monroe County Sheriff’s Department’s K9 Team Takes Top Honors in Statewide Competition

Bloomington, Indiana – April 14, 2024

Monroe County Sheriff’s Department is celebrating as their K9 unit, led by Deputy Michael Miller and his trusted partner Figo, clinched victory in the 2024 American Police Canine Association Narcotic’s Sniff Off, according to a Facebook post by the MCSO.

Figo, a 5.5-year-old Dutch Shepherd, certified as a dual-purpose narcotics K9m demonstrated exceptional skill and prowess alongside Deputy Miller, surpassing competitors from across the state.

The competition, which drew teams from various law enforcement agencies statewide, showcased the elite abilities of these highly trained canine units.
