Two-Vehicle Collision on I69 in Bloomington Area Leaves Van Destroyed, Occupants Treated and Released

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Emergency responders from the Monroe County Fire Protection District, and other agencies, responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision along Interstate 69, resulting in the destruction of a white van and prompting medical attention for those involved.

The incident, which occurred at approximately 1744 hours this afternoon on April 28, 2024, drew the attention of MFD’s Engine 22, Engine 39, and Battalion 22. The collision took place near Milemarker 108 on the southbound lanes of I69.

Upon arrival, authorities found the white van severely damaged, resting along the interstate. Individuals involved in the accident were treated at the scene and then released.

Further details regarding the cause of the collision or the condition of the vehicles and individuals involved were not immediately available.
