Bloomington, Indiana – June 7, 2024

The City of Bloomington Animal Shelter and the Monroe County Humane Association are excited to announce a month-long partnership to provide reduced fees for microchip services to pet families within our community.

This initiative aims to enhance the safety and security of pets by making it more affordable for owners to have their beloved companions microchipped. Microchipping is a simple, yet effective, way to ensure that pets can be easily identified and returned to their owners if they become lost.

During the month of June, both organizations will offer microchipping for a reduced cost of $10 per animal. This will also include the registration of the microchip. Walk-ins will be welcome at the Bloomington Animal Shelter, M/T/Th/F 12-5 and Saturday and Sunday from 12-3.

The Monroe County Humane Association will operate by scheduled appointments. Please call them to arrange your microchip appointment at (812)333-6242.

**A special microchip clinic will be held at the Woodlawn Shelter at Bryan Park on Tuesday, June 11th from 5:30-7:30 pm.**

Please note that cats must be in carriers and all dogs must be leashed.
