Lake Monroe Water Fund to Host Inaugural Beach Bash at Fourwinds Lakeside Inn & Marina

Written from press release

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (June 26, 2024) — The Lake Monroe Water Fund is set to host its first annual Beach Bash on Saturday, July 13, 2024. The event, held at the private beach of Fourwinds Lakeside Inn & Marina, promises an evening of fun, tropical music, and plenty of food, all while supporting a critical cause.

The Beach Bash will kick off the 60th anniversary celebration of the construction of Lake Monroe reservoir, a key drinking water source, regional economic driver, recreational destination, and critical wildlife habitat. Several local organizations will participate in events from July through October to highlight the importance of Lake Monroe, the state’s largest inland lake.

“Proceeds from the event will support the water fund’s operations and efforts to ensure clean water for human health, natural systems, and quality of life in South Central Indiana,” said Michelle Cohen, the water fund’s executive director.
