Monroe County 4-H Fair 2024 Highlights for July 1st – July 7th

Bloomington, IN — As the Monroe County 4-H Fair enters its final stretch from July 1st to July 7th, participants and visitors alike can look forward to a diverse array of events and showcases celebrating community talent and dedication.

On Monday, July 1st, the fairgrounds buzz with activity as the 4-H Building opens to the public from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, offering a glimpse into the creativity and hard work of local youth. Meanwhile, the Livestock Arena hosts the 4-H Beef Market Show and Swine Show, showcasing the culmination of months of hard work and dedication from participants.

Tuesday, July 2nd, provides a rain makeup day and continues the public exhibition at the 4-H Building, offering a chance for those who missed out to catch up on the exhibits.

Wednesday, July 3rd, promises excitement with the 4-H Goat Show at 9:00 am in the Livestock Arena, followed by the thrilling 4-H Beef Showmanship Contest and Market Steer Show at 4:00 pm, where participants demonstrate their expertise and bond with their animals.

Thursday, July 4th, marks a special day for the Mini 4-H participants, starting with their own show day at 10:00 am in the 4-H Building. Saturday, July 6th, invites the public to enjoy the last full day of the fair with the 4-H Building open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, ensuring ample time to explore exhibits and projects. At 11:30 am in the Draper-Earles Auditorium, the Cat Show promises to be a delightful event for feline enthusiasts. Meanwhile, the Livestock Arena hosts the culminating event of the fair, the 4-H Livestock Auction at 9:00 am, where participants proudly showcase their animals.

Sunday, July 7th, brings the fair to a close with the release of all projects, including those destined for the State Fair, from the 4-H Building between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
