Monroe County to Begin Roadside Debris Removal After Storm

Monroe County, Indiana – July 2, 2024 – The Monroe County Emergency Management Agency has announced that a private contractor has been hired to assist with tree debris pickup following the storm that hit the area on June 25. This service is available to residents within the county jurisdiction.

Residents are encouraged to place all tree and vegetation debris at the end of their property line, either on the curbside or near the edge, to facilitate easy access for the contractor. Officials have emphasized that debris should not be placed in roadways, ditches, or on sidewalks.

The debris pickup will be conducted by township according to the following schedule:

Residents within city jurisdiction are advised to follow the guidelines provided by city officials for debris removal.
