NAMI Indiana to Kick Off Mental Health Awareness Event with Community Gathering

Bloomington, Indiana — The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Indiana is set to launch its NAMIWalks event season with a community kickoff gathering aimed at promoting mental health for all. This kickoff event will take place on July 18th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the FAR Center for Contemporary Arts, located at 202 S Rogers St, Bloomington, IN 47404.

NAMIWalks is the largest and most vibrant mental health event series in the United States, providing a platform for participants to share their stories, build community, and walk together to support mental health initiatives. The kickoff event will feature refreshments, various activities, and detailed information about NAMI and the upcoming NAMIWalks Indiana.

Richard Dixon, the Local Walk Manager for NAMIWalks Indiana, expressed enthusiasm about the event. “NAMIWalks offers an excellent opportunity for mental health supporters across Indiana to come together, raise awareness, and reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness,” Dixon said.
